Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager – Digital Products will lead a team focused on Commercial Products tailored to our Seats and Upgrades ancillary opportunities, responsible for enabling United’s customer facing experiences across the customer journey. This role is responsible for helping define United’s digital product strategy and providing the leadership to implement that strategy with the help of cross-functional team members. This role will work on highly visible and valuable customer-facing digital experiences. This leadership role keeps up with industry trends, drives product scope, business analysis, and business case development. This is a Chicago-based, hybrid role that will require 2-3 days in office per week.

  • Collaborates with digital delivery teams and business partners to create and maintain the product vision, strategy and product roadmap

  • Applies data from the market, customers, and teams to drive product improvements and innovation around emerging business and market needs (leading capabilities and industry trends)

  • Identify, develop and lead complex cross-functional opportunities/projects

  • Builds relationships and collaboration in a way which allows us to partner on initiatives from the beginning and better influence outcomes as a result.

  • Lead and develop team members in performing their work effectively and developing their skills while encouraging an inclusive, healthy and positive working environment

  • Communicates effectively key business partners throughout project process.

  • Develops executive level presentations and deliver project updates to leadership.

  • Define and maintain product critical metrics including key business and financial indicators

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 7+ years Ecommerce or related business experience

  • 1-2 years Agile/Scrum experience

  • Digital products and stages of customer lifecycle

  • Consistent track record leading teams, set priorities and manage day-to-day evolution of a digital product

  • Must be well organized, methodical and pay close attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/releases simultaneously

  • Possess strong analytical skills and ability to define business cases

  • Flexible and adaptable in an evolving environment, including willingness to learn new processes and serve as a champion for improvement initiatives

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • MBA or a Master's Degree experience in a related field

  • 5+ years airline experience

  • People leadership experience
