Our continued growth has created an opportunity to join our team as a Senior Planning Manager, Revenue Management & Planning.

Job Summary

The Senior Planning Manager role within the Revenue Management & Planning team is responsible for a range of duties related to commercial performance tracking and management. The Planning Manager will compile and interpret data from multiple sources, determine validity of the data, and present business insights with supporting evidence to guide day-to-day commercial decisions including media planning, scheduling, patient-mix optimization etc.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for end-to-end commercial planning that includes setting clear goals for key performance metrics on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.

  • Clearly articulate any change in expectations vs. prior years’ performance and collaborate with commercial leaders to develop action plans to realize set goals.

  • Enable alignment on expectations from key strategic initiatives and hold commercial owners accountable for results thru timely and accurate performance tracking.

  • Host weekly performance review forums with senior commercial leaders to keep everyone informed of recent performance as well as forward-looking outlook.

  • Develop forecasting models / projections for various KPIs based on historic trends accounting for impact of seasonality, Holidays etc.

  • Develop performance reports and dashboards in partnership with the BI team to help key leaders monitor daily performance.

  • Partner with Commercial and Finance leaders to periodically assess evolving business dynamics and provide recommendations on adjustments to performance expectations.

  • Perform diagnostic analysis on an ongoing basis by working independently utilizing data, relationships, and storytelling to develop and maintain a single source of truth on business performance.

  • Must be excited to continuously enhance the planning process (improved granularity of goals, definition of performance vs. behavioral KPIs, playbooks, etc.) in an industry filled with opportunity.

Requirements

  • High proficiency in SQL (Big Query preferred), Excel, Tableau required and ability to extract and analyze data independently.

  • Analytics tools, such as Python and R a plus.

  • Detail-oriented, analytical ability and strong oral/written communication skills are also required.

  • Must be able to work well with others in a time-sensitive team environment with a flexible attitude focused on delivering outcomes.

  • Must have the ability to independently structure/resolve problems by incorporating/balancing relevant factors and grasping mathematical concepts related to budgeting and forecasting.

  • 8+ years’ experience in a Business Analytics role required. Prior experience in Business Insights / Financial Planning & Accounting is a plus.

  • Undergraduate degree required with major in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field preferred.

  • Master’s degree in related field a plus

  • Experience in the Heath Care Industry or in Managerial Accounting a plus

Base salary: $120,000-180,000 plus 15% performance bonus.

This is a hybrid role based in Chicago, IL
