Seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team. The Analyst will be responsible for assisting with the month-end close, annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, monthly reporting and strategic projects. This position is part of a larger coordinated team where the ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with other team members is essential. A great opportunity to work closely with a strong team and have visibility to the larger organization.

  • Support multiple Senior Analysts with coordinating monthly and quarterly forecasts in addition to the annual planning process for assigned business units.

  • Assist Senior Analysts with developing insightful and standard reporting that will guide decision making at the Executive level.

  • Responsible for annual updates to management reporting infrastructure cost allocations and monthly allocation processing.

  • Create standard templates for use by managers to identify trends/variances and efficient reconciliation of financial presentations.

  • Collaborate in the development of business cases that are integral to the annual planning process.

  • Prepare journal entries and ensure accuracy of monthly financial statements.

  • Gather and format data into reports and dashboards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Essbase experience a plus. - College degree.

  • 5+ Years of experience

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.

  • Client service focused that anticipates internal clients in a manner that shows a commitment to continuous improvement and delivers high quality output.

  • Attention to detail while demonstrating the ability to think critically and see the big picture.

  • Hybrid work schedule requires a regular presence at the 120 S LaSalle, Chicago location (in person 2-3 times per week).

  • Speaking up if witnessing behaviors that drive poor or unfair outcomes for clients, team members or other stakeholders

  • Escalating matters that can result in adverse market practices and outcomes, thereby negatively impacting CIBC’s reputation as a leading financial institution
