Robert Half Systems Engineer in Chicago, Illinois
Description We are currently seeking a highly skilled systems engineer for our client with a deep understanding of design, development, and implementation of system management procedures. The ideal candidate should be experienced in problem-solving across multiple platforms and systems, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Evaluate, design, and implement complex systems to meet organizational needs, ensuring system scalability, security, performance, and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues as they arise to ensure business continuity. Conduct system tests for security, performance, and availability. Devise and implement strategies to improve the system and network performance. Develop and maintain system documentation, including technical specifications, data mapping, program logic, and flowcharts. Work in coordination with the IT team to provide end-user support and optimize the systems. Participate in continuous training, education, and certifications to stay up-to-date with new technologies. Requirements Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field. Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role in IT. Deep understanding of computer systems and networks, security protocols, and cloud-based systems. Strong problem-solving skills, an analytical mindset, and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information in clear terms. detail oriented certification (such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or equivalent) may be preferred.
