AutoZone, Inc. Team Lead - Finance in Chihuahua, Mexico

This role will support the tax department by reporting compliance results and collecting sales tax documentation. Provide sales tax reporting and training to AutoZone’s Tax Team and translating that knowledge into instruction and training materials.

Responsibilities:

· Cross-functionally collaborate with internal groups to advance tax efforts, including tax planning, tax compliance, tax audit, finance, and IT

· Maintain current automation processes and adjust as needed for changes in requirements

· Act as the primary sales and use tax contact to address technical issues related to sales and purchase transactions

· Consistently provide reporting to Sales Team management about missing documentation and sales tax compliance

· Work cross functionally with finance and other departments to improve the Sales Tax documentation process and controls

· Aid in conducting sales tax compliance training to the Sales Team and internal employees

· Research, document, and respond to emails to ensure prompt resolution to sales tax issues

· Provide WOW customer service to AutoZone’s external/internal customers

· Mindset of working to improve processes to make them more efficient, enhance internal controls, etc.

· Ability to risk assess decisions and document thought process

· Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate cross-functional teams

· Strong analytical skills, excellent verbal, and written communication skills

· Detail-oriented, ability to keep an elevated level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information

· Proficient in MS Excel, Power Query, Excel Macros/VBA, and Word
