Brothers Construction Inc Office Assistant in Christiansted, Virgin Islands

The Brothers Construction Office Managerposition is responsible for coordinating and overseeing alladministrative duties, while performing invoice reconciliation, month-end closing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll activities. The primary job responsibility of this position includes providing accurate information within the accounting systems while interfacing/ supporting all company personnel initiatives. Responsibilities include following company policies, procedures and maintaining strategic relationships with customers and document control. Location St. Croix, USVI (Part-time role) *Responsibilities* - Develop and maintain network of professional relationships within construction industry, to include customers, suppliers, and employees. - Provide administrative duties to field incoming calls, emails, and other correspondence. - Organize and analyze employee time reports; prepare payroll on a weekly basis. - Maintain company expenses with accounting software; provide reports as required by team to assess profitability. - Design, implement and manage a document retention protocol for all office management systems. Ensure company procedures and internal control requirements are met. - Contributes to team effort to ensure project financial needs and objectives are understood and met. - Organize and file documentation to include contracts, purchase orders, payment applications and job costs. - Administer monthly reconciliations, financial statements, accounts receivables and accounts payable. - Prepare and submit all subcontractor 1099's, any other IRS requirements and sales tax records. - Document estimating and bid activities and keep team members informed. Qualifications Associate degree in accounting, economics, or related field preferred. Must be proficient with computers including QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
