We are offering an exciting opportunity in the CINCINNATI, Ohio. This role functions as a Collections Specialist, where the primary tasks revolve around managing customer credit accounts and ensuring timely collections.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue payments and initiate collection processes

• Receive and post payments to respective customer accounts

• Analyze customer payment and debt history to inform collection strategies

• Communicate with customers to address debts and assist with any billing or credit issues

• Send out customer statements on a monthly basis or as requested by the customer

• Manage and keep track of account statuses and collection operations

• Provide regular updates on collection operations and customer account statuses

• Perform daily accounting tasks such as accounts receivable collections and cash application

• Ensure the company's cash is protected and lead the collection process

• Coordinate with administrative assistants at other locations to resolve payment and collection issues

• Manage and reconcile the collection of daily cash/customer payment reports received from outside locations

• Utilize Microsoft Excel, billing functions, and customer service skills in daily operations

Requirements • Minimum of two years of experience as a Collections Specialist or similar role in the transport industry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with billing functions and collection processes

• Experience as a collector in a credit-related role

• Strong customer service skills and the ability to professionally handle and resolve customer issues

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding collection targets

• Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
