We are currently seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our Marketing and Communication team. The ideal candidate loves to write and is a creative thinker and self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The candidate should also be detail oriented, organized, and a team player who will enjoy writing for a variety of target audiences through different internal and external communication channels while collaborating with all department members. In this role, you will be the primary content creator for our Internal Communication focus area, supporting employer branding through storytelling via a range of communication channels. Additionally, the position involves adapting internal stories (when appropriate) for external use to amplify culture/brand awareness. This position will also be responsible for helping develop, coordinate and implement external communication that advance recruitment marketing and other company strategies. What You Will Do:

  • Research, copywriting and content creation for internal communication through various channels, including intranet, email, employee communication collateral and presentations.
  • Assist with copywriting and content creation for external communications through various channels including the company's externally facing websites, social media, people/differentiator award submissions, collateral and conference abstracts.
  • Able to engage with a variety of individuals and department at all levels of the organization to gain subject matter insight.
  • Responsible for maintaining Messer's annual internal communication calendar.
  • Assist with video planning, scripting and basic editing/production for both internal and external use
  • Assist with maintaining recruitment marketing collateral in collaboration with department's graphic designer.
  • Understand and maximize our use of technology such as Smartsheet, Acquia (for digital asset management), and analytics tools.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of work experience in marketing, public relations or internal communications
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, writing, and presentation skills with the ability to conceptualize, structure, write, and present compelling stories for a wide range of audiences
  • Experience using design software and analytics MarTech.
  • Experience using Canva and/or Adobe Rush for video editing.
  • Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Light travel as needed to tour jobsites, assist with events, tradeshows, etc.
