The Natural Gas Project Specialist may support Natural Gas Project management in the following ways: * Serve as project SME, lead kick-off and progress meetings, track progress and project status and hold internal and external team members accountable for compliance * Work closely with Project Managers to ensure compliance with Company and Department requirements including stage-gate and project governance requirements. * Set, monitor and reinforce Deliverable quality expectations with internal and external team members and stakeholders. * Secure and quality control project Deliverables to ensure they meet requirements/expectations and are ready to be handed-off data and receiving asset owners. * Develop materials for key report-out meetings as needed, and coordinate meetings and workshops as needed to report on status or resolve issues. * Communicate short/long term project plans via appropriate departmental tools * Specific to Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure ("MAOP") team: Ensure that MAOP is substantiated and TVC (Traceable, Verifiable and Complete) established for all assigned projects as specified in the MAOP Verification for Facilities and Pipelines Greater than 125 psig guidance document. * Expedite as-built documentation to ensure quality product is received per RFP Appendix timelines in support of department goals/metrics and GIS Not to Exceed (NTE) durations. Responsibilities Project Management and Administration. Track status of projects, deliverables and MAOP verification efforts Communication and Quality Assurance Serve as SME/Primary Point of Contact Communicate approved projects and short/long term plans Create templates/guidelines and provide training on tools as necessary Distribute and archive reports (including MAOP) as necessary Ensure company standards are met Provide level 1 quality assurance for project deliverables, drawing, procedures, procurement documents and quality control reports Issue Resolution Coordinate meetings and workshops as needed to report on status or resolve issues. Evaluate issues, roadblocks and records, and recommend options to move forward. Escalate issues as needed to assist with timely resolution Lead audit reviews and reporting Required/Basic Qualifications Associates degree 2 years related work experience Desired Qualifications Bachelors degree Additional Preferred Qualifications Ability to read and prepare technical documentation Records management Continuous improvement Experience in Engineering & Construction management Oversight Demonstrated effective use of analytical and soft skills Demonstrated ability to lead planning efforts with a moderate degree of autonomy and strong organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and facilitation skills Proven success interacting with internal and external customers and team members Excellent time management skills Ability to identify critical paths and execute Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams) and other applications (MS Project/MS Powerplan, Emax, Peoplesoft, EcoSys) Project/Program/Portfolio management acumen Background or experience in Duke Energy, Natural Gas or utility industry Demonstrated proficiency in managing several parallel projects Specific Requirements 2+ years in focused consultative, bu
