Details: A REMOTE Senior Embedded Software Engineer job is currently available at Belcan. As a REMOTE employee of Belcan, you can perform this work from anywhere in the U.S. We are seeking a talented Software Engineering professional to join our exciting team with focus on Model Based Development (MBD) within aerospace embedded systems. This is a direct, full-time position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor of Science degree in the engineering field, and a minimum of seven years of experience within the aerospace industry or other highly regulated industry experience. Job duties: Candidates will be involved in leading and providing oversight for various software engineering tasks including: * Development of software plans * Software requirements decomposition, analysis, definition, and traceability * Software design and development and lead/conduct design reviews * Software analyses, requirements-based testing, and structural coverage analysis * Candidates are expected to mentor junior engineers and help establish team growth. Qualifications: * Bachelor of Science degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science or electrical engineering from an accredited institution. * 7+ years model-based software development/integration experience, preferably with aerospace embedded systems * 3+ years software requirements and model-based design * Software experience in MATLAB/Simulink and/or SCADE * Certification process understanding of DO-178 and DO-331 * Ability to deal with ambiguity, to be adaptable, to work across multi-discipline teams, and to drive results * Quality management system process adherence * Due to the nature of the work performed, U.S. Citizenship is a required Desired Skills: * Proficiency in C and Python programming * Software architecture and board support packages We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position offers a pay range of $85,000 to $125,00.
