We are hiring an Automation & Process Control Engineer to join our team in Circleville, Ohio site.

The successful candidate in this position will provide automation and process control support to the plant in support of asset effectiveness improvement programs, and major capital projects. Work extensively with research and development, manufacturing and technical personnel, project leaders and team members, full-service design contractors, and other technology consultants and functional specialists to ensure business needs are met through the appropriate application of process automation and control technology.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing day-to-day troubleshooting assistance for instrumentation and controls.

  • identifying new process control improvement opportunities.

  • conducting the necessary operability analysis (or design) to troubleshoot existing (or develop new) process control applications; and

  • implementing and commissioning these applications.

  • Demonstrated communication skills with ability to develop and articulate the merit of proposals for technical improvement programs.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with plant personnel (Mechanics, Engineers, Management) at all levels.

  • Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be creative and innovative.

  • Ability to collaborate well with large teams either as a contributor or as a team leader.

  • Ability to learn quickly and willing to expand his knowledge and develop skills in related fields of the competency.

  • Ability to set priorities/organize work.

Your Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field

  • 5 years of experience in developing and commissioning process control applications.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Chemical Engineering principles employed in manufacturing processes.

  • Basic skills in the configuration of DCS and PLC systems

  • Understanding of the principles of operation, reliability and performance characteristics of instrumentation, measurements, analyzers, and control valves

  • Experience with process safety standards (DX_S, RAGAGEP, IEC) and their application to chemical manufacturing facilities

  • Knowledge of the open and closed loop response characteristics of dynamic systems.

  • Experience with analyzing and designing SISO and MIMO regulatory and advanced regulatory control techniques.

  • Six sigma Green Belt/ Black Belt certified.
