    What You Will Do:

    As a Direct Sourcing Category Senior Manager, you will participate in the development and implementation of assigned sourcing initiatives across L’Oréal in close partnership with your business stakeholders. You will optimize cost and enhancing overall supplier’s contract value. You will participate in the strategic sourcing process, stakeholder management, supplier management and continuous performance improvement.

    You are expected to demonstrate a high level of analytical and financial proficiency as well as excellent communication skills and strong team spirit mindset to be successful in our highly collaborative environment.

    Your Responsibilities

    You will manage sourcing strategies across L’Oreal USA for the Specialties Categories with a spend of +$70M. The Specialties Categories includes corrugate and folding cartons.

    Own and drive specific category strategies for packaging components

  • Strategies to include a minimum of stakeholder mapping, business needs summary, industry analysis, supplier analysis, supplier panel recommendation, strategy validity period and strategic pillar summary;

  • Ensure alignment and clear communication with zone Business Teams, WW category leads, impacted plants, and sourcing leadership;

  • Drive consistent improvement across all 5 L’Oreal sourcing pillars based on category specific KPIs aligned with each strategy.

    Protect the business via category management of contracts & business continuity

  • Assure compliance to MSA & BCP agreements for all A class vendors;

  • Highlight and manage concerns on non-A class vendors based on market intelligence and business team feedback;

  • Complete annual risk assessment

  • Create a substantiality Road MAP on your categories to support L4TF Goals

    Drive Strategies and Market Intelligence on Innovation

  • Educate Packaging Innovation on Market Dynamics and strategies within reoccurring touch bases;

  • Support Innovation Buyer on pre-costing exercises and project tracker support Packaging Innovation;

  • Flawlessly support Innovation Buyer and transfer/hand-over projects to business teams at briefing stages to minimize negative deviations from pre-costing.

    Drive agility through Supplier Relationship Management & as a priority for sourcing strategies

  • Prioritize localization at the tier 1, 2, and 3 levels Packaging components;

  • Support plant and Business Teams vendor meetings to reinforce the priority for our vendors and consideration for both strategies and business awards;

  • Drive consistent improvement across all 5 L’Oreal sourcing pillars based on category specific KPIs aligned with each strategy.

    Serve as Supplier Relationship Manager for all vendors in your respective catalogue

  • Completion of Business Reviews for all A class suppliers with notes, scorecards, and PowerPoints filed each year;

  • CDP, Ecovadis, and Solidarity Sourcing: Confirmation of vendor participation and coaching as needed.

  • Propose Business model to bridge Innovation needs vs usual suppliers (together with each Key Supplier Management) PUSH and PULL Innovation.

    Qualifications

  • BS/BA Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or similar discipline.

  • Prefer +5 years of Sourcing experience

  • Previous packaging sourcing experience is required

  • Management Consulting experience in Strategic Sourcing is desired

  • Lead by example in front of the team and peers

  • Sourcing Skills: Negotiations, Supplier Relationship Management, Understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain operations

  • Self-starter with high level of curiosity to be able to investigate Sourcing opportunities

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and work independently in fast paced international environment

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. French or Spanish or Portuguese a plus.

  • High degree of financial and analytical data organization

  • Exceptional PC Skills including Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint – SAP experience a plus
