JOB OPENING:
LUMBER GRADER
Starting wage: \$23.45 - \$29.60/hour
JOB DESCRIPTION:
? Handle, evaluate, and grade lumber within WWPA specifications.
? Keep lumber running smoothly from slow down belt to tower trays. This may involve starting and
stopping equipment, climbing up, down, or under chains to retrieve skewed lumber.
? Adjust equipment as needed, such as lug loader, hold down, re-run pad, and lug chains.
? Graders must work within guidelines of head grader and management to achieve and maintain high
standards.
? Graders are also responsible for evaluating mill work and moisture content and reporting it.
? Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
C Previous lumber grading experience is required. Certification through a lumber association such as
WWPA, T.P., etc. is preferred.
C Valid Drivers License required
C Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test as well as random drug and
alcohol tests administered during the course of employment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENTAL SETTING (INDOORS):
Standing/walking, leg/foot use, twisting, handling/grasping, repetitive work, performance inspection,
interaction with others, and deadlines. Employee is at risk for exposure to elements and must follow all
company safety requirements.
