Field Service Technician III

$26.35/hour

Kelly Government Solutions is hiring for a field service technician III on a government contract with our customer in Anchorage/Fort Richardson, AK. This assignment should last approximately one year and could be extended.

Job Description:

The Field Service Technician (FST) provides on-site support to the US Army and US Army National Guard and/or Reserves for the Cold Weather, All-Terrain Vehicle (CATV) located in JBER Anchorage Alaska. This new system is the replacement for the Small Unit Support Vehicle (SUSV).

Required:

  • Military Maintenance MOS trained, with at least four (4) years military service in heavy track, wheel, or engineer equipment MOS's with a military grade E-4 or higher OR civilian training through an automotive or heavy truck certification program and four (4) years' experience in the same.

  • The candidate FST shall have received initial mechanic training through either the U.S. military or a civilian automotive/heavy truck institute.

  • The FST shall have the necessary experience, skills, and training to perform general maintenance for the CATV vehicle and systems, including, but not limited to drive train, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC.

  • The FST must possess the willingness to increase their basic skill sets through hands-on learning, coaching, and mentoring.

  • The FST shall provide hands-on scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance support to the US military as needed, whether in garrison or field environments.

  • The FST shall perform warranty claim repairs, modifications, upgrades, and retrofits of the CATV Vehicle, and its sub-systems, as necessary.

  • The FST shall have a basic understanding with Microsoft Office products and be able to effectively utilize these software tools.

  • The FST must be able to communicate effectively whether through verbal or written communications.

  • The FST shall comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as government contract requirements.

  • The FST must have the necessary qualities to work as a team member following verbal and written guidance, and in limited circumstances, be able to work alone and self-supervise.

  • The FST must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • The FST must possess or be able to obtain a valid US Passport.

  • The FST must possess a valid state issued driver’s license.

  • The FST must be able to pass a pre-screen background investigation check.

  • The FST must be able to qualify for, and maintain, a US Government issued Common Access Card.

  • The FST must be able to physically perform Maintenance Tasks in an extreme cold weather environment for extended months of the year.

  • The FST must have completed OSHA-10-Hr Safety Course.
