Tech Ord Inspector Shipping/Receiving in CLEAR LAKE, South Dakota

[Job Summary:[ The Inspector will inspect internally manufactured or externally supplied product to determine compliance with customer order specifications as well as compile reports of inspections. *[ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:]{calibri",sans-serif"=""}]{calibri",sans-serif"=""}]{calibri",sans-serif"=""}*

  1. Examines suppliers records to verify conformance to certification requirements.
  2. Inspects product to determine compliance with: order specifications, Tech Ords Quality Management System and conformity with shipping and packaging standards.
  3. Submits samples of product to government laboratory for testing per department procedures.
  4. Prepares report of examinations and assembles paperwork (both paper and electronic) packages.
  5. Assists in reducing hazardous waste by operational proficiency.
  6. Performs other work related duties as assigned.

[REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:]{calibri",sans-serif"=""}

  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the United States (ITAR restrictions).
  2. Must be at least 18 years of age to work at this facility.
  3. Must be eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for all employees of Tech Ord.
  4. High school diploma or GED is required. A background in quality assurance process and/or in production environment is preferred.
  5. Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  6. Understanding of ISO requirements upon hire.
  7. Familiarity with common measuring instruments as well as conventional and geometric tolerance is preferred.
  8. Ability to communicate and document effectively in English.
  9. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications specifically Excel and Word; and ability to learn and become proficient in using our internal computer applications.
  10. Function Specific RCRA training upon hire.
  11. Ability to work effectively with other employees as part of a team.
  12. Ability to multi-task in support of end-result/goal.
  13. Ability to learn and become proficient with multiple product lines.
  14. Excellent organizational skills.
  15. Ability to set and establish priorities.
