Department of Transportation Engineering District 2-0 Roadway Programs Specialist in Clearfield, Pennsylvania

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As directed by the District Roadway Program Manager, you will perform professional technical support functions related to maintenance supplies and services, including administrative duties, results analysis, and inventory management. You will assist the District Systems Applications Product (SAP) Plant Maintenance Coordinator when needed and support Maintenance Division and District staff in various maintenance tasks.

Your duties will encompass coordinating maintenance-related activities, preparing specifications, managing bids, ensuring quality assurance, and providing training on new procedures. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with the Minority Business Enterprise and the Women's Business Enterprise policies, as well as maintaining accurate records and files for Maintenance Division contracts.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Clearfield.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience as a Roadway Programs Technician 2; or
  • Two years of experience in the analysis, development and implementation of methods and techniques in a roadway maintenance management system and an Associate's Degree in the field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or closely related program; or
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or in a civil engineering related discipline; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
