GE Vernova Manufacturing Manager / Master Scheduler in Clearwater, Florida

Job Description Summary

The Master Scheduler position will report to the Capacitors Materials Manager.

The position will be responsible for coordinating, planning, scheduling, and supervising products (customer orders) through the production cycle in the manufacturing system to optimize service level while assisting in the analysis of internal material demand to improve inventory and drive cash flow objectives.

Lead a team of production planners being accountable for their deliveries and development while strengthening a resilient process for production planning with an emphasis on creating a competitive advantage for GE. Master Scheduler will also be responsible for identifying and leading key projects with the materials team including interfacing with Information Technology to drive systems related improvements and reporting formats to meet business growth and service objectives.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.

  • Implement a manufacturing-scheduling plan that meets the growth vision for the site and ensures execution of strategic business deliverables.

  • Develop and implement scheduling requirements utilizing Lean methodology to meet customer requirements.

  • Develop quality and reliability processes to minimize transactional errors (Order entry).

  • Document, communicate and train manufacturing in scheduling best practices.

  • Serve as the leader for daily Production reviews including updates of output metrics and Production, Sales and Inventory (PSI) process.

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 compliance as part of the business growth strategy.

  • Drive and advance EHS initiatives.

  • Assist Materials function in developing an Inventory model that supports growth and improves turns metric.

  • Lead, train and develop Production Planners to support the company’s business objectives.

  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university/college with a minimum of 3 years working in a anufacturing environment

  • OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Master Scheduling or Materials Management, and 3 years working with an ERP system

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

  • Established project management skills.

  • Self-directed with the ability to work independently in a matrix organization.

  • Greenbelt or Blackbelt Certification.

  • Oracle Bravo and SAP experience.

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

  • Ability to lead a team of direct reports.

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
