Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Cleveland, Ohio
Description We are in search of a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the Wholesale Distribution industry, based in Cleveland, Ohio. In this role, you will be tasked with invoice exception processing and high volume AP processing in a fully on-site environment. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Engage in high-volume accounts payable processing
• Handle invoice exception processing with precision
• Utilize SAP for various accounting operations
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of AP transactions
• Maintain and update financial records
• Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary actions for delinquent payments
• Use skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) for efficient job performance. Requirements • Possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations, including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliation.
• Have experience with Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, cash application, and collections.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in using computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Possesses strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Must have attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience in the Wholesale Distribution industry would be an advantage.
• Must have a proactive approach and the ability to take initiative.
• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior experience in a similar role would be preferred.
