MetroHealth Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner-Cardiology: Electrophysiology in CLEVELAND, Ohio

Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 8-5

Electrophysiology Advanced Practice Provider

Our APRNs independently provide specialized care for patients with diverse cardiac arrhythmias in routine and complex patient populations. They also participate in the management of pre and post electrophysiology procedures including but not limited to Electrophysiology Studies, ablations, CIED implantation and Watchman procedures. As an Electrophysiology APRN, you will also become competent in device interrogation and interpretation. This position will require decision-making skills, as ideal candidates will have experience with limited supervision and work well independently.

- Prior advanced practice experience and/or one or more years of advanced practice experience in Cardiology preferred.

- Recent graduates can apply and will be enrolled in Metro Health’s Transition to Practice which is a one-year program that is individualized to the candidate based on their experience and will include both a hospital-based orientation Vizient onboarding and also a clinical didactic specific to cardiology known as Thrive AP.

Qualifications:

Required: MSN or grandfathered under Ohio Revised Code Graduate of an accredited advanced practice registered nurse program. Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Ohio. Certificate of Authority as an Advanced Practice Nurse from the Ohio Board of Nursing Certification as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in specialty. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or obtains within 90 days of hire. Obtains other advanced life support certifications applicable to practice area within 180 days of hire. Meets the requirements/qualifications for clinical privileges in the specialty/department with The MetroHealth System and must report to Medical Staff Office at time of hire to apply for clinical privileges. Maintains a standard care arrangement and renews/signs it as required by the Ohio Board of Nursing. Note: Other department specific qualifications for providers will be addressed through the Certificate of Authority and credentialing process.
