Job Description:
Determine design approaches and parameters.
Must have extensive knowledge with surface mount technologies.
Experience in programming and troubleshooting SMT line automation equipment, including Screen Printer, Jet Printer, Pick & Place, SPI, AOI, reflow profiler, etc.
Familiar with IPC/EIA J-STD-001C.
Working knowledge of all SMT assembly and inspection processes.
Working knowledge of PCB CAD data and equipment programming software, and databases.
Perform system analysis to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
Perform simulations and present design reviews to peer engineers.
Essential Functions:
Participate in Circuit Card Assembly design review for manufacturability.
Design and procure Solder Stencil and pallet for various CCA.
Generate reflow profile to support CCA production as well as rework.
Create SPI, Jet printer, Pick & Place and AOI programming.
Perform first article and AOI debug.
Generate operation procedure and provide necessary trainings.
Test, analyze, and evaluate the requirements compliance of L3 Harris hardware products.
Set-up and utilize SMT Kit management tools, such as MyCenter and Mycronic Tower.
Qualifications:
Ability to work 2nd Shift.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, or related field and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Prior experience with SMT.
Security Clearance required upon hire : Ability to Obtain
Security Clearance required for role : Secret
Preferred Additional Skills:
Excellent communication, technical writing and presentation skills.
Knowledge of and/or understanding circuit analysis and operational concepts.
Familiarity with various computing environments (LINUX/Windows.
