Family Chiropractic & Wellness Patient Coordinator in Clifton Park, New York

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Coordinator. The Patient Coordinator will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and coordinating appointments. This role requires strong communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a passion for helping others.

PATIENT COMMUNICATION Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures. Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries from patients promptly and professionally. Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits efficiently, utilizing scheduling software or systems. Provide information about services offered, appointment availability, and office policies.

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT Collect patient demographic and insurance information accurately. Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations or referrals. Process patient paperwork, including consent forms and medical history updates. Maintain electronic health records (EHR) and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.

PATIENT ADVOCACY Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring patients' needs are met. Address patient concerns or complaints promptly and escalate issues as needed. Educate patients about financial responsibilities, insurance coverage, and payment options.

OFFICE COORDINATION Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and minimal wait times. Manage patient scheduling to optimize provider productivity and maximize appointment availability. Assist with office tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and maintaining office supplies.

MARKETING Helping setup outreach marketing outside the clinic for events. Available to help on the weekend at events. Scheduling community lecture for patient education and zoom.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare administration is preferred. Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role is an asset. Proficiency in using computer software and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with patients and colleagues in a professional manner. Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.

30 hours to start with. 8:30am-12 noon Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 2:30pm-6pm Monday through Friday.

Hourly: Pay: $15-18 hr depending on experience 30 day review 60 day review After 6 months a potential raise hourly.
