Overview
Title: Nurse Practitioner - Occupational Health
Location: Clinton, IN
Status: Part Time
Hours: Monday and Thursday 8:00am - 6:00pm
TheClinic Provider III is a licensed practitioner responsible for the onsite provision of occupational health services in accordance with the ATI Worksite Solutions clinical guidelines and standards of care. This includes effectively performing history and physical examinations for complex acute and chronic medical conditions, ordering appropriate diagnostic testing, providing appropriate treatment, referrals and follow-ups. Unique to AWS, the Clinic Provider III collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to ensure that all encounters are followed up in the work environment to ensure proper corrective actions and employee support.
Responsibilities
Utilize critical medical decision-making skills to evaluate, diagnose and treat onsite injuries and illnesses to the top of their clinical capabilities and jurisdictional guidelines.
Effectively and appropriately determine the need for ordering special diagnostic tests.
Responsible for performing and documenting appropriate exam findings.
Provide episodic care for non-occupational injuries and illnesses
Execute program workflows, protocols and procedures including: emergency response, internal and external care referrals, return to work, stay at work, restriction management, and support of client Leave of Absence (LOA) management
Provide preventative and restorative services and education to employees by engaging employees or dispatching an early interventions specialist to provide job coaching, ADL coaching, mobility coaching, and workstation assessments
Assist with Return to Work and restriction management for leave of absence cases to include WC, STD/LTD
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Master's Degree in an accredited nurse practitioner program
Required License or Certificate:
Current NP Licensure in state of practice (or eligible)
National certification from a Nurse Practitioner Credentialing Organization
Licensed Prescriptive Authority as a Nurse Practitioner, if required by scope or work; Current Drug Enforcement Agency licensure, if required
State Controlled Substance Licensure, if required by State Law
Current CPR certification
Will be required to either hold or complete certification in audiometry, drug screening, and spirometry upon hire
Required Experience:
Previously practiced within an Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care, Emergency Care, Primary Care, or Ortho clinical environment
Experience/ability to suture
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with EMR, occupational health information systems
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to manage a caseload and present on detailed information around patient care and outcomes
Proficient in Microsoft programs
Ability to develop meaningful professional relationships with clients for successful coaching
Ability to execute on performance goals
Ability to work with AWS site personnel and client personnel
Comfortable presenting to groups
A solid team player who also demonstrates maturity, drive, intellectual curiosity and support for clinic operations
Deadline-driven
Strong verbal and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task
Knowledge of workers’ compensation and OSHA regulations
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
Strong organizational skills

Excellent clinical documentation skills
