Paramedics are a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is in at Union Health. The Emergency Department at Union Hospital Clinton provides emergency care for patients of all ages, treating various common illnesses and injuries, and performing immediate treatment and lifesaving procedures in all types of emergency situations. The department also serves as the initial access point for their Certified Primary Stroke Center, Accredited Chest Pain center with PCI, and Verified Level III Trauma Center.

Paramedic Details
Essential Job Duties:
Provides patient care and comfort. This includes assessing the patient's condition, providing basic and advanced life support, and assisting with procedures.
Collaborates with other healthcare professionals. This includes working with registered nurses, physicians, and other paramedics to develop and implement a plan of care for the patient.
Demonstrates professional conduct and attitude. This includes adhering to hospital policies and procedures, functioning within legal limitations, and assisting with the education and development of other healthcare professionals.
License/Certification:
Currently licensed and maintains licensure by the Indiana E.M.S. Commission as a paramedic. Job duties will be performed under the supervision of Physician/Registered Nurse.
BLS level of CPR required
ACLS required
