Role Summary
The Business Development Specialist works collaboratively with Eagle Bend Business Development and Cosma Sales Teams to attract new business and/or promotion of existing products in new markets by assembling competitive quote packages and sales presentations for customers and/or potential customers

Key Responsibilities
Work with the Business Development team and CAD support, commercial coordinator, and Engineering team to prepare cost estimates, customer quotations, and capital investment justification
Work with Cosma Sales Team to pursue and secure new business and quote opportunities
Prepare tooling and capital budgets for awarded programs based on quoted business case and quoted processing assumptions. Provide budgets to Program Management team at award of new business.
Prepare cost estimate packages from the “ground up” including process routings, operations cycle time estimates, machine burden rates, etc.
Prepare capital equipment justification and payback analysis and present to EBM Senior Management and Cosma Management for approval.
Lead team and/or personally outline manufacturing process flow concept for new opportunities.
Apply standard machine burden and labor rates to cost estimates.
Modify existing rates or develop new rates when warranted due to special considerations including capital investment, unusual processing considerations, new manufacturing technologies, etc.
Recognize when new manufacturing requirements or technologies require feasibility assessment and pull together team to address and make feasibility decision.
Use various on-line and computer based tools including Cosma Portal, Sharepoint, and customer web-portals.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
Background in Engineering or Accounting required (4 yr. degree in either field preferred) with emphasis on Cost Accounting
Engineering/Cost Accounting/Cost Estimating
Understanding of manufacturing cost structures and payback analysis
Strong MS Excel skills
Additional Information
Must understand cost allocation models including those based on labor hours, machine hours, floor space, amortization
Must understand capital equipment payback analysis and depreciation.
Must understand basic manufacturing including stamping, welding, assembly and cost structures associated with these operations
Must understand Bills-of-Material, Process routing, and related Enterprise resource Planning (ERP) functions.
Needs solid interpersonal skills in dealing with operations team, Cosma Business Development and financial organizations and customers.
Ability to read, write, and speak English
