Building & Grounds Keeper / Laborer / Maintenance / Utility Worker Part Time

PART TIME POSITION 20 - 25 hours per week

Hours are 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM OR 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM - flexible scheduling.

• Responsible for general maintenance of grounds, daily cleanliness of the grounds,

• Mowing, cleaning grounds, trimming, snow removal, ice removal, plays an integral role in daily operations.

• Maintenance and cleaning of grounds.

• Install and repair valves, faucets, and pipes, clears clogged drains, and performs other general maintenance and installation work.

• Clean production areas with mobile sweeper, floor polisher and scarfer throughout the facility. Manually clean behind areas that are unreachable to the sweeper (i.e. behind furnaces, generators, main isle along office wall, etc.)

• Add salt to water softeners as needed. Perform preventative maintenance to equipment on a weekly basis.

• Maintain the lunchroom, bathrooms, and locker rooms-clean out refrigerator, clean off tables, take out trash, re-stock paper towel, soap dispensers, pick up newspapers (toss old) daily, ensure parking lot, area along fence, curbside, around all buildings and front sidewalks are clean and free of debris.

• Clean electric switch and equipment gear panel faces

• Inventory supplies of tools, equipment, or materials to ensure that sufficient supplies are available and items are in usable condition.

EQUIPMENT-

Lawn equipment, small engines, snow plow, paining tools, hand tools, mobile equipment, maintenance and inventory management experience preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS-

• Experience with hand tools, lawn equipment, snow plow, etc.

• Experience with cleaning, floor scrubbers, etc.

• Experience with light maintenance

• Experience with landscaping

• Prior experience preferred

• Good attendance

• Be able to hand tasks to superior levels without supervision

• Strong attention to detail

• Be flexible with change and ability to work independently

• Enjoy taking on multiple tasks throughout the day

• Physical ability requirements such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, climbing stairs and ladders

WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS-

• Frequent lifting up to 40 lbs, Occasional lifting to 65 lbs

• Working in plant in warm temperatures and/or cold temperature.
