ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sr. PSM Engineer, with a chemical and engineering focus, is a key leadership role within the SPS Integrated Supply Chain organization. You will report directly to the site Sr. HSE Manager but work closely with the site maintenance and engineering teams to develop and steer a robust practice of mechanical integrity including, Inspection, Testing, and Preventative Maintenance (ITPM) procedures. You will be the key HSE resource at the facility to support the site engineering and operations team directing Process Safety Management (PSM) programs through incorporation of impactful operating processes and keeping in front of leading practices in appropriate standards.
Position is in Clover, South Carolina, USA. Relocation will be provided for the right candidate.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide program development, drive, and implementation of the Process Safety Management (PSM) system.
Maintain metrics related to PSM and HSE including but not limited to; on-time action completion, compliance action completion, incident investigations, program maturity improvement, energy reduction, etc.
Coordinate with HSE team on PSM standards.
Provides technical assistance to engineering, operations, and maintenance for compliance with PSM elements.
Job Site compliance reviews for permit compliance and standard verifications including hot work, confined space, lock tag try, and others as needed.
Ensures compliance standards to include US EPA 40 CFR (experience helpful) and applicable State Regulations for Air, Water and Waste
Prepares and submits required Regulatory Agency reports.
Conducts or arranges exposure monitoring including sampling and analyses in accordance with accepted methods.
Effective coach and role model for production leaders; leads PSM initiatives, Best Practice sharing among location groups and other similar manufacturing locations.
Drives standard work for environmental processes. Risk Management Program as applicable.
Capital expense projects; lead, liaison, and support projects throughout the preparation and funding steps.

YOU MUST HAVE
3+years’ experience in environmental, PSM (Project Safety Management) compliance, inspections, and reporting
High School Diploma or equivalent
WE VALUE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
Chemical engineering background preferred.
