Job Description Performs quantitative and qualitative analysis related to long-term energy resource planning and/or acquisition. Creates and modifies detailed financial proformas and conducts other financial and economic analyses related to potential electric generation resources. Develops and builds interdepartmental consensus on analytical approaches and related critical input assumptions that will shape the Company's long-term resource portfolio. Effectively communicates analytical methods, assumptions, and results with key external stakeholders to lay the foundation for recovering costs of future resource acquisitions. Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety. Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations. Job Responsibilities Prepares financial forecasts related to revenue requirements, operating expenses, capital expenditures, EBITDA, and net income for resource acquisition candidates. Performs long-term resource optimization analysis using spreadsheet models and programs such as Aurora. Develops input databases necessary to perform long-term resource planning/acquisition analysis. Creates written documentation of input assumptions, methods, analysis, and results. Provides leadership for junior analysts. Develops written documents and presentations to effectively communicate results of analysis. Leads efforts to coordinate with internal stakeholders to develop consensus around resource acquisition issues. Creates communication materials, such as PowerPoint slides, charts, etc. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications 10 years of experience in energy related industry involving performance of complex analysis. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Math, or related field. Experience building complex spreadsheets to analyze questions. Demonstrated ability to be supportive team member. Solid written, interpersonal, and group communication skills. Desired Qualifications Graduate degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Math, or related field. Strong background in finance. Ability to manage large data sets using SQL and Python. Experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI. Experience running production cost models such as Aurora. Experience performing statistical analysis. Demonstrated creative problem solving abilities. Experience analyzing risk. Experience creating and using database applications to support analysis.
