We are looking for a dynamic, self-starter to join our EU Amazon ROC & AF Learning Development Team as a Learning Business Partner within Amazon Transportation Services (ATS). We are transforming the way we do associate training and development. We are customer-obsessed and innovative in our efforts to increase associate capability. This means we build our own highly customised and targeted solutions that directly serve the business. We work backward from business development needs through deep dives and critical analysis of our talent movements.

The Learning Business Partner (LBP) for Amazon ROC & AF Operations, EUATS Learning, will be responsible for formulating and implementing the strategy for learning and development initiatives supporting ROC & AF Operations. The LBP will effectively assess challenges and build performance solutions, work alongside ACES and Quality in the development of training best practices and standards, enable solution implementation across the ROC & AF network, and drive execution of solutions within the field. The LBP is responsible for improving Quality and Performance results, with a focus on both associate performance and training and onboarding. We need a creative leader who is hands-on, has a strong knowledge of contact center Operations and a data-driven approach to solution development. Stakeholder management and leading initiatives at an EU level are key aspects of this role.

The Learning Business Partner will need to invent in order to simplify and be able to operate successfully in a space where there is high ambiguity and a great need to partner with other Learning orgs for best practices or building programs from scratch. Qualifications include excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as proven experience leading program or project management tasks. This role entails providing strong leadership and direction to corporate learning resources as well as field personnel across the business unit.

This role will require 25% travel.

Key job responsibilities

· Build strong partnerships with business leaders (e.g. Regional Directors, Regional Ops Managers) to understand their teams learning needs and ensure targeted solution development. Dive in to quickly learn about learners’ goals and challenges, their work environment, how they walk (fast) and how they talk (straightforward).

· Leverage science and data driven approaches to design and deploy learning and performance solutions. Use rapid design and distribution methods (virtual, classroom, blended and multi-media) that best suit ROC & AF needs and which tangibly and positively impact performance.

· Manage collection of, interpret and analyse business data to report conclusions and make recommendations based on findings.

· Produce written reports to communicate and gain support for solutions, measurement and evaluation plans.

· Select, design and deploy appropriate mechanisms to measure learning impact.

Basic Qualifications

  • A completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or 5+ years Amazon experience.

  • Proven experience in learning & Development programs

  • Experience in leading remote teams

  • Proficiency in computer usage, email, MS Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in related field

  • Evidence of ability to prioritize, manage, and complete projects with tight deadlines

  • Experience developing and implementing department goals and strategies based on broader organization goals

  • Experience working with and delivering training/information to peers and associates

  • Experience coaching and delivering messages related to performance

  • Experience interpreting data analytics

  • Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy

  • Desire to thrive in a dynamic, growing environment

  • Previous Kaizen/Continuous Improvement experience

  • Aptitude for learning and leveraging science and technology for both solution design and data analysis

  • Ability to actively use metrics, and training data to track and manage impact of training efforts

  • Superior communication and influence skills are a must with the ability to communicate effectively and credibly both verbally and in writing with audiences across levels

  • A strong focus on internal customers’ needs and satisfaction, with an emphasis on demonstrating return on investment

  • Innovative and proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to use judgment in complex and ambiguous situations

  • Strong knowledge of and experience with performance and talent management
