In this role, you'll plan, create and perform tests to evaluate, measure & report actual and expected behaviors of web, mobile and other application systems. We are looking for someone who is innovative, self-driven, has a strong technical focus combined with a team-oriented attitude.We would ideally like someone willing to work hybrid onsite at our Cohoes, NY office, but we are willing to consider EST based US based remote workers who are able to visit our office with some frequency. Qualifications:Proven experience Testing softwareProficient in SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptIn-depth knowledge of Software architecture, database structures and Experience with responsive design and mobile software testing.Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.Detail-oriented with a keen eye for design and user experience testing.Ability to troubleshoot and document technical issues independently.Responsibilities:Provide Testing and Quality Assurance efforts for various projects and software products developed by Troy Web Consulting.Design, Execute, and Maintain Test Cases and Test Suites for multiple projectsDesign, Execute, and Maintain stress/performance tests to ensure software scalability where requiredEnsure all client deliverables are quality controlled and checked prior to release to client. This may not only include software releases but Quality Control for documentation as well.Documentation of all issues found and organization of all denoted issues.Drafting and issuing of Test Plans and Test level documentation for multiple projects.Work with Business Analyst, Design and Development teams to ensure testing scenarios cover project requirements.Assist with the drafting, maintaining and issuing of all requirements traceability matrix level documentation.Effectively communicating with clients and team members.Manage accounting of work activities in a responsible, timely and accurate manner utilizing appropriate project management tools.Creating and / or Maintaining Quality Assurance Best Practices documentation for multiple projects.Actively participate as a vocal member of an agile development team, supporting and promoting agile practices.Optional:Experience with Automation testing frameworksPerform and facilitate requirements gathering, modeling and documentation activities using contemporary agile methods, techniques & models.Assist and mentor other team members where appropriate.

Minimum Salary: 60000 Maximum Salary: 70000 Salary Unit: Yearly
