Job Summary:

In his/her position, the Site Logistics Specialist is responsible for the execution of the Inbound and Outbound logistics activities in support of the site operations.

Scope of Responsibilities

Inbound Specific Activities

• Perform all tasks and processes related to the on-time, error free shipping operations including selection of the appropriate mode and carrier

• Gather / prepare documentation and forms related to inbound operations (BOLs, HWBs,commercial invoices)

• Maintain receiving logs and accurate records (Records keeping as per Flowserve’s policies and local laws and regulations)

• Attend training sessions as scheduled by logistics coordinator and/or site logistics supervisor

• Adhere to site specific and Flowserve specific safety procedures

• Input into ERP system of IB related information as needed

• Trailer unloading when necessary

• Track/trace IB shipments

Outbound specific activities

• Perform all tasks and processes related to the on-time, error free shipping operations including selection of the appropriate mode and carrier

• Gather / prepare documentation and forms related to outbound operations (shipping labels, BOLs, HWBs, commercial invoices)

• Adhere to site specific routing instructions; ensure selected carriers, modes and services are compliant with Flowserve’s Routing Guide, policies and procedures

• Escalate service or performance issues to Site Logistics Coordinator or Global Logistics team when/if necessary

• Ensure customer-specific instructions for marking, packaging, crating and stuffing are followed through and applied (freight shipment readiness)

• Ensure FLS logistics policies for packaging, crating and stuffing are followed through and applied (freight readiness, shipping readiness)

• Maintain shipping logs and accurate records (Records keeping as per Flowserve’s policies and local laws and regulations)

• Input into ERP system of OB related information as needed (shipment confirmation, printout of shipping documentations and labels)

• Data entry in ProShip or parcel carrier’s application(s) for parcel manifesting when needed.

• Trailer loading when necessary

• Track/trace OB shipments

Other specific activities

• Haz Mat Shipping documentation when necessary

• Handling Equipment certifications (reach truck, counterbalance truck)

• Attend site specific meetings and/or support specific projects when necessary

• Support the compliance team in determining import and export classifications and country of origin for products imported/exported

• Assists with duty minimization, export licensing, and review of sanctions screenings, as needed

• Have awareness of antiboycott, anti-dumping and countervailing duties, and Incoterms issues

• Act as site point of contact for compliance topics and escalate as necessary to the corporate compliance team.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• 4+years experience in similar role/function

• Knowledge of receiving and shipping procedures

• Ability to read and interpret instructions

• Basic knowledge / expertise on all transportation modes

• Haz Mat Certification

• Basic knowledge of logistics systems (ProShip, P44, TMS, FP&A)

• Ability to read and understand screen instructions on ERPs (SAP, Oracle)

• Ability to carry up to 70 lbs.

• Handling Vehicle certification preferred (Reach truck, counterbalance truck)
