Position Details The general goal of the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) Community Liaison function is to reduce stigma associated with behavioral health challenges and diagnoses through facilitation of mental health first aid trainings in the community and provide outreach education that recovery from mental health and substance use disorders is possible through available treatment services. The position will provide education and training in the region regarding behavioral health-how to recognize behavioral health disorders in oneself or others and to increase public awareness of the availability of behavioral health treatment resources and how to access them. In light of the fact that only a fraction of those who experience behavioral health disorders receive any form of treatment, the specific goal is to increase the numbers of individuals with behavioral health disorders living in the region service area who seek and receive treatment. * Support mental health promotion in the community through providing and facilitating Mental Health First Aid trainings; * Develop a community resource guide and maintain its accuracy; * Maintain accurate record of trainings and outreach education provided and track progress of grant outcomes; * Function as a Merakey's liaison to community partners and organizations (e.g., town hall meetings, social service agencies, hospitals, recovery homes, community events, faith-based organizations, NAMI, Parents Involved Network, etc.) around behavioral health needs, resources, and initiatives; * Coordinate and support behavioral health promotion initiatives in the community including but not limited to Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) trainings, Naloxone trainings, education about behavioral health disorders and treatment. * Resource and point of contact for internal and external programs to provide information on community resources. * Provide/coordinate outreach and educational presentations on behavioral health to local community organizations, nonprofits, schools, etc. * Participate in local health fairs and other community venues focused on health issues. * Other duties as assigned. Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: * Bachelors degree in social work, psychology, or related human services field required. A Master's degree is preferred * Experience working in mental health, addiction and recovery services, and to possess teaching skills or related training experience is preferred.
