Aerotek Quality Inspector in Colonial Heights, Virginia

Job Title: Quality Inspector

Responsibilities

  • Inspect pre-pack and final pack operations, including bags, labels, weights, measurements, and box assemblies.

  • Set and maintain quality standards in collaboration with other departments.

  • Verify elements visually, functionally, and dimensionally using LEGO standards.

  • Manage non-conforming materials, including disposition and traceability.

  • Generate daily reports and conduct process audits.

  • Maintain the 5S organizational system within the work area.

  • Report any quality events and coordinate containment measures.

  • Participate in problem-solving analysis and daily indicator reporting.

  • Engage in training sessions as required.

Essential Skills

  • 3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with visual inspection and testing equipment.

  • Proficiency in quality control, assurance, and checks.

  • Competence in inventory control and material handling.

  • Forklift operation and computer skills.

  • Ability to conduct visual inspections and use RF scanning technology.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of quality management and PC management (Excel and email).

  • Preferable previous experience as a quality auditor.

  • Desirable: Management of SAP.

  • Ability to pass vision and color blindness tests.

  • Proactive learning and effective communication skills.

  • Problem-solving and attention to detail.

  • Teamwork and leadership abilities.

  • Decision-making and customer focus.

  • Result orientation and innovation.

  • Data analysis skills.

  • Desirable: Ability to train others with patience.
