Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Description We are inviting applications for an Accounts Payable Clerk role located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The role primarily involves processing and recording vendor invoices, handling payment requests, and maintaining accounts payable records. This role is a part of our Printing/Publishing team and offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire accounts payable process, including the receipt, processing, and payment of vendor invoices.

• Conduct data entry tasks associated with the processing of invoices and payments.

• Generate detailed reports and perform complex calculations using Microsoft Excel.

• Utilize Acumatica ERP software to enhance accounting procedures and processes.

• Regularly reconcile accounts payable and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.

• Prepare and submit journal entries, verifying the accuracy of debit and credit amounts.

• Assist with month-end closing processes such as correlating invoices and payments with general ledger entries.

• Review, track, and resolve issues regarding billing discrepancies and anomalies.

• Collaborate with other departments to improve accounts payable processes and maintain vendor relationships.

• Perform crucial account functions and ensure the completion of month-end closing processes. Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) processes.

• Familiarity with Check Runs and Coding Invoices.

• Proficiency in Data Entry and Invoice Processing.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Acumatica is a plus.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field is preferred.

• Previous experience in a similar role within the Printing/Publishing industry is an advantage.

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the specified location.
