3D Systems seeks an Intermediate Firmware Engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The Intermediate Firmware Engineer is focused on industrial controls and automation. Serves as subject matter expert on Yaskawa motion controllers and drives. Owns the controls development for Yaskawa motion programming and Compass HMI. Collaborates with support and applications groups to provide software support on Titan Legacy printers. Works with a cross functional team of engineers to create cutting-edge control algorithms for Titan's proprietary high fidelity pellet extrusion 3d printing heads and motion platforms. Work hand in hand with various engineering disciplines, tradespeople, to develop cutting edge 3d printing hardware in an agile hardware development framework.
Requires a Master's in Mechanical Engineering and 24 months of experience as a mechanical engineer. Requires skills with: EC 611 programming with Structured Text, Ladder, and Functional Block Diagrams; OPC United Architecture Development; Fieldbus Industrial Network protocols. Travel <10% in US for on-site customer support, tradeshows, and training.
