Job Overview

The House Supervisor assumes responsibility for the operations and supervision of a designated facility accepting the full scope of responsibility delegated by senior leadership/site leadership. The House Supervisor provides oversight, leadership and direction to staff and leaders across the organization through communication, decision making, and effective management of operations to include material resources and staffing.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor Science Nursing (BSN) degree required. Experience: Four (4) years of clinical nursing experience required. Pediatric clinical skill/knowledge required. Required License/Certifications: * Registered Nurse (RN) * Complete required FEMA Emergency Management Institute Coursework within six months of hire. * BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR * PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support * ANCC or Magnet approved certification preferred

POPULATION SPECIFIC CARE Neonate - 30 days to 1yr Toddlers - >1yr to 3yrs Pre-Schoolers - >3yrs to 5yrs School age - >5yrs to 13yrs Adolescent - >13yrs to 18yrs Adult - >18yrs to 65yrs ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform. 1. Serves as the onsite administrator and escalation point for hospital Executives and leadership; leads information gathering, communicates to all areas in the hospital, and ensures confidentiality as appropriate. 2. Acts as leadership designee to initiate designated scope of employment actions, e.g., requesting reasonable suspicion drug/alcohol testing, intervening in conflict, and suspending employees from duty. 3. Promotes and informs patient, family, staff, and facility safety by implementing appropriate respons s to internal and external disasters or critical incidents. Authorized to activate Incident Command Center, serve as Incident Commander, initiate restricted access, or place facility into lockdown. Assists in managing the ongoing effects of external disasters. 4.
