Skyline Products Senior Engineering Technician in Colorado Springs, Colorado
Skyline Products is an electronic price sign and transportation systems manufacturer located in Colorado Springs. We’re a team of collaborative innovators, focused on building the country’s highest quality signage and software products. Skyline is currently looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set up and test engineering designs for large electronic and mechanical signs. Gather the hardware, wire the PCBAs and components together to design, build, and load the software components, test the system, and document / report the results. Designs include LED, and motor-controlled message-type signage for highways and gas stations.
Areas of exposure:
Basic Linux command line usage
Embedded systems
Microcontrollers
Serial communication protocols RS2332, RS485, Ethernet, SPI and IC2
PCBA test
Embedded firmware
LabVIEW
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to read schematics
Ability to read wiring diagrams
Troubleshooting skills using lab equipment such as logic analyzers and o-scopes
Write technical reports
Create test plans and documentation
Validate products against standards documents
Troubleshoot electrical and electronic failures to the PCBA
Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
Flexible attitude fostering the ability to work closely with others.

Compensation for this position is $50.000 to $75,000 annually, depending on experience.
