We are seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer - Global Systems Interface and Architect to work onsite in Colorado Springs, CO.

Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret clearance is required prior to start date.

What You Will Do:

  • Support the development and review of interface documents, system requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, architectural documentation, engineering estimates, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews.

  • Position will also provide mentoring to junior systems engineering team members to enhance skills in the department.

  • Works with the enterprise test architect to enable system sell off of capabilities as required

  • Work will be performed under the direction of the Global Architect Lead, and will require interfacing with team members, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high quality products are generated on time and within the resources available.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Demonstrated experience working large multi-site software development efforts including external interface development

  • Demonstrated experience executing under Federal Acquisition Regulations including Operational Concept development, Requirements, System Decomposition, Standards Compliance, Design, Implementation and Selloff

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret clearance is required prior to start date. Candidate must have the ability to obtain SCI eligibility.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Candidate should have experience developing system engineering artifacts (e.g. specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.).

  • Candidate should also have experience in with developing large, complex software systems.

  • Candidate should have experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software and specialty engineers to develop solutions.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience designing large command and control and/or weapon systems Desired experience processing radar sensor data.

  • Experience with near real time processing, persistence and distributed user community.

  • Experience working within an Agile development environment

  • Domain experience with both Space and Missile Defense

  • Experience with Systems Analysis, Metric Development, MBSE and Architecture development

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
