Defense Unicorns Site Reliability Engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado

EMPLOYER IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP. Role Description: This role works within Defense Unicorns' Delivery segment and will be working to provide Mission Heroes, customers, with secure DevSecOps solutions. Specifically, this role works with bare metal Kubernetes (k8s) clusters and AWS clusters that host defensive cyberspace applications. Defense Unicorns is looking to add a SRE to the team to help with live cluster troubleshooting, build a more robust platform, and help communicate solutions to problems.

Responsibilities: Work on a cross-functional team of engineers utilizing DevSecops and agile disciplines to build a larger system Lead troubleshooting of observed problems on live systems - may require unique hours for short periods of time, will be pre-coordinated Communicate verbally and written observed problems, solution, and help incorporate longer lasting solutions to avoid re-observation Travel Expectations/Requirements: 10-15%

Preferred Experience and Qualifications: Strong foundations in IT Fundamentals of a full stack and system network Have a current Secret or Top Secret clearance DoD 8570 IAT II certification Experience working with Federal Government, specifically Department of Defense Familiarity with at least one of the following technologies/tools per category below: Host OS: Ubuntu & RHEL Kubernetes: RKE2, K3D, K3S, and MicroK8s Applications & add-ons: ELK, Neuvector, Trivy, Grype, KeyCloak, Kyverno, Istio, metallb, nginx, prometheus, promtail, loki, and Grafana Languages: Go, Python, Ansible, Yaml, Bash, and Terraform Development tools: GitHub and GitLab
