job summary:
Our Client is seeking a Software Integration Engineer / System Admin to support the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborates with multiple government agencies, contractors, universities, and other organizations. This position will be onsite at one of their Colorado Springs facilities.

responsibilities:
Required Skills
Integration of complex applications across both Windows and Unix/Linux platforms.
System administration for Linux and Windows, as well as VMWare systems.
Implementation of Information Assurance policies and understanding of IA requirements.
Script development and maintenance using PowerShell, Bash, and Korn.
Expertise in using Git Version Control System.
Desirable experience includes working with VM Horizon View and programming in Java with an understanding of object-oriented development.
Must possess the ability to perform source code analysis, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and have a deep understanding of C2BMC operations.
Technical writing and communication skills are necessary to create clear installation manuals and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders in the software development and systems management fields.
Job Duties
Installing and configuring both Linux and Windows hardware platforms, starting from the operating system up to the applications developed by C2BMC.
Creating thorough installation and configuration documentation for customer delivery.
Developing scripts to automate system installations.
Developing and implementing test plans and procedures for software integration testing, including integration execution, detailed data analysis, and preparing software test reports.
Coordinating software integration tests to ensure proper system functionality.
Assisting software developers in diagnosing and identifying root causes of issues found during software integration; submitting problem reports for detected errors.
Implementing Information Assurance directives, including running IA scans on the systems.
Organizing and coordinating daily integration activities with other team members.
Overall, the role is technical and involves collaboration with team members to ensure smooth integration and operation of software and hardware systems following security guidelines.
Education Requirements
-Bachelor degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
- Security+ certification required.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in DoD Integration Processes: Demonstrable hands-on experience with Department of Defense integration procedures, alongside Agile and DevOps methodologies. Knowledge of automated testing tools is required.
