Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the System Architect position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This lead position will provide data center client- server architecture support focusing on design, specification, integration, implementation and upgrade of enterprise-wide, large-scale data center client-server infrastructure operating on complex distributed networks of multiple classifications, integrated with DoD C2 systems, and associated information assurance processes/procedures. In addition, will provide end user computing solutions focusing on design, specification, integration and implementation and of enterprise-wide, large-scale Multi-Level System architecture on complex distributed networks with multiple classification enclaves and integrated with DoD C2 systems utilizing associated information assurance processes/procedures.
Compensation Minimum: $155,000
Compensation Maximum: $165,000
Job Requirements:
Skills / Experience Required
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)
- 3+ years of experience as System Architect & Information System Lead supporting a DOD program of similar in size and scope
- 5+ years of hands-on professional experience as System Architect & Information System Lead for program/project of similar size and scope
- 3+ years of hands-on professional experience with Everfox Trusted Thin Client (TTC)
- Active Directory Engineer services shall support the following policies and technologies:
- Windows Server, SCCM and SharePoint
- Physical/Virtual environments and tools
- Security and Capacity management
- Directory migration and Recovery
- DNS, DHCP, WINS, DFS, ADFS, PKI, GPO's
- Identity management
- Process automation and improvement
- Multiple domains and Forests
- Applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- Minimum Certifications Required: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate and/or Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator Expert.
- Data Center Client-Server Architecture services shall support the following policies and technologies:
- Desktop (client) hardware including thin client, zero client, virtual desktops, and remote desktop solutions
- Microsoft Windows architectures
- RedHat Linux architectures
- Blade server architectures
- Software provisioning
- Server-client continuity of operations infrastructure
- Virtual server and client environments
- Server-client environments
- Applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- Minimum Certifications Required: Server+ or Linux+
- Virtual Desktop Infrastructures (VDI) services shall support the following policies and technologies:
- VMware ESXi 8, vCenter, vCloud, View, and ThinApp, and SRM.
- Desktop (client) hardware including thin clients, repurposed PCs and zero clients
- Nutanix software suite for VDI installations
- Virtual desktops, storage environments and remote desktop solutions
- Hewlett Packard (HP) Proliant BL G7/G8 server series installation, advanced disk subsystem and networking configuration
- Server-client continuity of operations infrastructure
- Multiple backup and recovery technologies and Advanced Disk Functions (i.e. Cloning, Snapshots, Virtualization)
- Enterprise application thin-app packaging processes, distribution of thin-apps and associated best practices
- Desktop pools, Personal Computer over Internet Protocol (PCoIP) technologies, thin- printing, linked and full clone implementations
- Modern components (connection server, agent, client, and composer)
- Flash memory-based network storage appliances
- Distributed control systems security
- Securing virtual machines and disaster recovery planning

- Consolidated Desktop Infrastructure (CDI) services shall support the following policies and technologies:
- Everfox Trusted Thin Client (TTC) Software (design, installation, configuration, operation and maintenance)
- RedHat Enterprise Linux with SE Linux and trusted labeling extensions (installation, configuration, operation and maintenance)
- Familiarity with server and client hardware including thin and small form factor PCs
- Updating firmware, changing Bios settings, Raid configurations etc.
- VMware/Nutanix View architecture and operation
- Experience with the interaction & operation of VDI services with Everfox Trusted Thin Client
