Clinical Research Coordinator I - Center of Biobehavioral Health Requisition ID 2024-48580 Category Research Overview The Skeens' Lab is seeking individuals to join our growing lab, focused on adherence, symptom science and innovative solutions for children and families diagnosed with cancer or undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplant. Clinical Research Coordinator I will be contributing to an NIH-funded clinical trial evaluating the feasibility of a digital health intervention to improve adherence and track facilitators and barriers to medication taking post hematopoietic stem cell transplant. The lab is also participating in several foundation funded trials to better understand the adherence and symptom experience of children with cancer and how allocation of treatment responsibility effects outcomes in adolescents with a cancer diagnosis and undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplant. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with excellent organizational skills, as well as previous experience with children. This position will involve close collaboration with the principal investigator, as well as other research staff at NCH. Opportunities exist for mentorship and professional development for applicants who may be interested in gaining experience that will prepare them to apply for advanced graduate programs. Responsibilities PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATORS Performs research activities as outlined in the protocol; implementing and organizing clinical research studies assigned to him/her which includes but is not limited to: Conducts clinical studies as outlined in the study protocol; performing study procedures according to recognized skill level and certifications and within the local and federal regulations and guidelines; adheres to good clinical practices. Prepares and processes human specimens for use in research studies, if applicable to the study. Collects blood, urine, and other samples as needed according to skill level and certifications, if needed for the study. Performs CLIA waived laboratory assessments. Such activities may be performed independently and may require evening and weekend hours.
