Clinical Research Coordinator - RI Center of Biobehavioral health Requisition ID 2024-48474 Category Research Overview The Jackson Lab focuses on disease-self management and psychosocial outcomes for individuals with cardiac disease across the lifespan with an emphasis on congenital heart disease (CHD). Clinical research coordinators (CRCs) will be contributing to an NIH-funded randomized clinical trial (RCT) examining the efficacy of a videoconference-delivered physical activity lifestyle intervention among teens and young adults with CHD, as well as other ongoing projects in the lab. Duties will involve working directly with research participants, data management, collection of biometric data (e.g., physical activity, exercise stress test, hair cortisol), and preparing/submitting conference abstracts and research manuscripts. This position will involve close collaboration with Dr. Jamie Jackson, other investigators and research staff, as well as medical team members in the outpatient hospital setting. Responsibilities PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct clinical research activities independently or semi-independently and following approved protocols. This includes recruiting potential participants in person and by phone, data collection, and data management. Data collection may include attending exercise stress tests, traveling to participants' homes or conducting virtual visits, and using REDCap, an internet-based survey tool. Data management will include working with statistical analysis software for data management and analysis, medical record reviews, and other research devices (e.g., physical activity monitors).
