Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Software Developer in Columbus, Ohio. This role sits within the telecom industry and involves hands-on software development, primarily with Java, and a deep understanding of web development processes. The successful candidate will be immersed in a dynamic workplace, committed to developing and implementing Microservices using Spring Boot and CI/CD tools.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in hands-on software development activities using Java, focusing on Object Oriented Design

• Understand and participate in the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment

• Develop and consume REST API and Web Services using J2EE Spring Boot

• Utilize Agile development build processes, testing, and operations

• Work with SQL and RDBMS like Oracle or MySQL to troubleshoot and debug applications

• Implement Microservices using Spring Boot and utilize CI/CD tools on Jenkins and Kubernetes

• Develop RESTful web services using JAX-RS and use Swagger for REST API documentation

• Maintain code repositories and manage code migrations using GIT, SVN, CSV Jenkins

• Create and maintain architecture for Restful API using Spring Boot

• Write SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers in databases via Oracle and DB2

• Use Swagger and API testing tools, as well as data structures and algorithms to reduce time and memory complexity

• Implement JWT mechanism for authentication, authorization, and data exchange

• Use Apache Maven Build tool to automate the build process for the entire application

• Lead development team members and partner with business and operational partners

• Build Web services and RESTful web services using IBM DataPower Gateway and IBM Integration Service Bus (IIB / ACE)

• Apply knowledge of IBM MQ Websphere in back-end development

• Utilize GCP infrastructure and GCP Products like Cloud Run, Terraform, Big Data, Big Query when necessary. Requirements • Demonstrable experience in software development and web development

• Proficiency in Java, SQL, MySQL, Oracle, and other relevant programming languages

• Familiarity with cloud technologies and experience in migration to cloud platforms

• Strong knowledge and experience in algorithm implementation

• Proven ability in troubleshooting and fixing software issues

• Extensive experience with REST API, GIT, and other tools for efficient deployment

• Proficient in database design and management

• Experience with automation and implementation of automated processes

• Ability to write clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation

• Knowledge and understanding of operations within a software development environment

• Experience with website design and development

• Proven ability to work effectively with partners and stakeholders

• Strong skills in writing and optimizing SQL queries

• Ability to handle authorizations and ensure the security of software solutions
