Mettler Toledo LLC Key Account Manager - Technical Sales in Columbus, Ohio

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities SUMMARY This position is a field sales position and will be responsible for managing METTLER TOLEDO accounts in the Transportation and Logistics market segment. In that capacity, this individual will be responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with our largest accounts, and the profitable sales growth of our Weighing, Dimensioning and AIDC (Automatic Identification and Data Capture) solutions. The customer accounts this individual will be responsible for are in the parcel carrier, warehouse, LTL, air cargo and state departments of transportation industries. The successful candidate will be also responsible for developing systems integrator serving these market segments. The weighing and dimensioning market is growing rapidly as our customers implement programs to improve efficiency, optimize warehouse space and adapt to the dimensional weight tariff requirements of all major shippers. This position will also be responsible for managing the sales cycle for specific projects; application support for our customers, proposal creation, order write-up and installation management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: *Utilize a consultative sales approach to create opportunities, manage the sales cycle, defend our competitive position and develop strong customer relationships at assigned accounts. *Develop annual sales plans by key account and actively manage to these plans as the year progresses. *Provide customer feedback to METTLER TOLEDO to validate market value, appropriate price levels, competitive activity and overall customer satisfaction. *Support segment marketing activities targeted to the T&L industry. *Work closely with our T&L project manager and service team to insure successful project management and long-term customer satisfaction What You Need to Succeed QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A minimum of 5 years of key account management experience is preferred, preferably in the transport and logistics industry.
