Legal Services Contracts Administrator Requisition ID 2024-52113 Category Legal Overview The Legal Services Contracts Administrator provides professional contract administration and related services to support the Legal Services Department and Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC), including drafting, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating OTC-related contracts working with a supervising attorney. Manages and assists in performing administrative functions related to the contract process within OTC, from intake to final execution of the agreements. Responsibilities Provides contract review and support to the OTC Staff and attorneys within the Legal Services Department on OTC-related agreements. Responsible for leading efforts with OTC's Agreements Assistant on all OTC-related agreements as the Agreements Assistant manages intake, review, assess, triage, and distribution of research agreements. Work with Agreements Assistant on a course of action for resolution of agreement related issues. Responsible for coordination and administration of OTC-related contracts including but not limited to CDAs (Confidential Disclosure Agreement), DUAs (Data Use Agreement), MTAs (Material Transfer Agreement), CRAs (Collaborative Research Agreement), and Inter-Institutional Agreements (IIAs) pertaining to intellectual property and academic research flowing to and from The Abigail Wexner Research Institute (AWRI), Possesses thorough business and contract negotiation knowledge; identifies issues, develops and analyzes alternative solutions, makes recommendations and implements solutions as approved. Responsible for responding to external inquiries, negotiating contract issues, and reviewing and finalizing contracts. Acts as a liaison within the organization to ensure seamless contract flow and manages the entire contract process from intake to final execution of the contract. Functions as a point of contact for institution's employees related to coordination of contract review and contract administration procedures. Provides education and training to institution's employees regarding contractual terms and procedures. Reviews and assists in updating Standard Operating Procedures for OTC Assists attorneys in ensuring that OTC-related agreements are compliant with regulations, corporate policies and corporate agreements.
