We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer - New Graduate in our Columbus, Ohio office. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work closely with a team ofexperienced engineers and consultants to provide engineering solutions and advice to clients to ensure positive outcomes. Primary responsibilities will include assisting in engineeringanalysis, design, and implementation oversight of mechanical systems for the vertical buildingindustry. This position will be expected to work within the project's monetary budget as well ascollaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations. Principal Responsibilities Assist in the design and analysis of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems, utilizing engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculationsaccording to code requirements and IMEG standards Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, andcommunicate technical information effectively. Build and maintain client relationshipsthrough professional communication Work as part of a project team to support the execution of consulting projects. Assist inproject planning and scheduling tasks to meet project deadlines and objectives Assist with documenting design decisions and instructions from clients while monitoringproject design progress Analyze low to medium complexity engineering tasks and propose innovative solutions. Collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficientsolutions Participate in IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs andsolutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirements Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices inmechanical engineering. Contribute to research, development, and innovation effortswithin IMEG Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work. Identify and mitigate potential safetyrisks associated with mechanical systems Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals Required Skills/Abilities Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production oftechnical plans and specifications Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of principles relating tothermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics as it relates tomechanical systems design in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems for buildings Knowledge of industry standard engineering software and tools including HVAC loadcalculation softw
