Post Doctoral Scientist - Computational Immunology and Biology Requisition ID 2024-48695 Category Research Overview Dr. Jayajit Das Research Lab A postdoctoral position funded by the NIH is available immediately at the Das Lab at the Steve and Cindy Rasmussen Institute for Genomics at The Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital. We are seeking outstanding candidates who are interested in applying computational/mathematical methods to solve cutting-edge problems in immunology and cancer immunotherapy. Das Lab (nationwidechildrens.org) The fellow is expected to work closely with our experimental collaborators and analyze bulk, single cell, and spatial proteomics and transcriptomics data and develop data-driven and mechanistic models. Highly motivated and career-oriented applicants with expertise in stochastic methods, machine learning, optimization techniques, and evolutionary dynamics are particularly encouraged to apply. No previous background in immunology is required however the fellow is expected to be interested in learning the relevant immunology and communicate with our wet-lab collaborators. The fellow is also required to know to code in Python/R/C/C++. Our expectation is the fellow will be able to retool computational and analytical techniques used in their graduate program to apply to problems in computational immunology. The postdoctoral position is also expected to train the fellow to seek career opportunities in Academia or in Industry in the areas of data science/computational biology. We have access to a state-of-the-art computer cluster over 120 INTEL processors. The resources at the Ohio State University campus and Ohio Supercomputer Center are also available. The position will be for one year and can be potentially renewed. We work in a family friendly environment and offer competitive salary and benefits.
