Liberty Mutual Technology Group Inc. Principal Software Engineer in Columbus, Ohio
Duties:
- Under general direction, acts as a technical expert who consults on highly complex projects.
- Devises or modifies procedures to solve technical problems.
- Responsible for system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Leads and directs the work of team members. May mentor junior team members.
- Develops component design.
- Develops system and application architecture.
- Develops maintainable, scalable, effective, defect free source code that meets business requirements and team standards.
- Conducts unit test case development.
- Develops highly complex test scripts.
- Identifies and implements appropriate continuous improvement opportunities.
- Contributes technical alternatives. May telecommute.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Applied Computer Science, Computer Applications or a related field and 7 years of experience in the job offered or in a Principal Software Engineer-related occupation.
Position also requires demonstrable experience with each of the following:
- Expert-level experience using C#;
- .NET Core and .NET Framework;
- Web application development technologies including JavaScript, HTML/CSS and XML;
- Building user interfaces using MVC 5, JQuery, AJAX& Bootstrap;
- Database technologies including SQL Server, PL/SQL and Stored Procedures;
- Building and consuming web services including WebAPI, SOAP, REST, and OAuth;
- Building data services using Web API 2.0 and WCF technologies;
- Using Team Foundation Server (TFS) and GIT for code version management;
- Conversant in software architecture and design patterns;
- Unit, functional and system integration testing;
- Working on agile teams/squads on enterprise applications. May telecommute
