Northwest Bank Senior Business Process Engineer in Columbus, Ohio
Description The Senior Business Process Engineer is responsible to consult on and / or manage intermediate to large cross-functional projects and change initiatives involving the design and delivery of business process solutions, implementation strategies, and control measures, including scoping, leading, and influencing organizational change related to business processes and models. Essential Functions * Maintain business process library / repository with the latest version of documentation at all times * Facilitate process improvement meetings and workshops, including business process reengineering sessions, brainstorming sessions, and Kaizen events * Maximize technology tools available * Create value stream diagrams / process maps to document current and future state business processes * Ensure total document and data integrity * Provide detailed analysis and reports * Perform detailed analysis of workflows and processes, as well as researching and identifying benchmarking and best practice opportunities * Assist the decision-making process for various business needs * Understand and use fundamentals of statistical data analysis * Analyze the functions and operations of Northwest and identify problem areas * Improve systems by studying current practices and designing modifications * Recommend/develop business processes, administrative procedures, technical procedures, action to be taken base on financial information and trends, and process efficiencies and strategies for improvement * Gather feedback and conduct surveys through needs assessments and cost /benefit analysis * Train other team members on the use of Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques, such as root cause analysis, histograms and process mapping. * Provide guidance to junior level process engineers ensuring the proper process improvement tools and techniques are applied to each project. * Align technology with business strategies * Determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, evaluating output requirements and formats Additional Essential Functions * Ensure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations * Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency * Work as part of a team * Work with on-site equipment Additional Responsibilities * Complete special projects as assigned Safety and Health for those without supervisory duties * Abide by the rules of the safety and loss prevention program * Perform work tasks in a safe manner * Report any and all injuries to supervisor * Know what to do in case of an emergency QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
