Hill International is seeking a Sr Construction Inspector in Columbus, Ohio Hill International is seeking a Senior Civil/MEP Construction Inspector to join our City of Columbus, Department of Water, Program Management Team. The qualified candidate will have extensive construction inspection experience on large industrial projects, preferably on water/wastewater treatment projects. Monitored construction activities will include everything from excavation through equipment commissioning. Provide daily inspection of construction work within a given discipline to ensure the project is in compliance with plans and specifications, as well as regulatory standards, building codes, and safety protocols Evaluate technical documentation such as contract drawings, specifications, and shop drawings Be proactive and alert project management professionals to issues that may come up in the field and provide solutions to mitigate those problems Document the work via the daily inspection reports, photos, and various other reports Develop and maintain relationships with both client and other management team members High school diploma 5+ years of experience in construction inspection or other relevant experience Availability for full time on-site work Physically capable of inspection on ladders or in areas where ladder access is required.
